Web Services

This is a portal developed to integrate and efficiently manage the services of an Application Service Provider. This site allows the application vendors to host their applications by registering themselves. The customers wishing to use the services of any of these applications can do so by a simple registration process. The project also involved integration of various online applications and building of an administration utility to manage registrations and application hosting.

This portal is developed using 'n' tier architecture. Visual Basic 6.0 & ASP is used to build business logic, XML, SOAP and Biztalk for Web services, Oracle for data storage, HTML, Java Script for GUI and client side validation.

Implementation:
The portal is hosted on IIS with Windows2000 as the operating system. The security model is implemented using E2K server set up.

Execution and Delivery:
This project was executed on an onsite-offshore model to bring distinctive benefits to the client. An offshore project manager who manages the project and the team reports to the onsite accounts manager on the status of progress and issues arising out of the project. The onsite accounts manager holds complete responsibility for the smooth execution & delivery of The project and coordinates between the clients and the offshore development team.
